Protein Shake

IIMG_5630 try to drink one protein shake per day either for breakfast, lunch or as a snack. It helps me meet my protein goals for the day so I can build muscle, but also so I’m not walking around hungry all the time. I’ve used many protein powders over the years. Right now I’m using the Shakeology product from Beachbody. While I was skeptical about it, I honestly have to say that the flavor is better than any others I have had.

I try not to doctor up my smoothies and add too much to them especially if its a snack. You can end up creating a high calorie meal. Here are a couple of options that I often mix up.

Strawberry Protein Shake

  • 1 packet Tropical Strawberry Vegan Shakeology
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries or 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water

Chocolate Banana Protein Shake

  • 1 packet Vegan Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water

Combine ingredients. Blend. Slurp.
